Forever Young – Alphaville

So many adventures couldn’t happen today
So many songs we forgot to play
So many dreams swinging out of the blue
We let them come true

So many of you asked me to play another one by the Dire Straits, so here is “Romeo and Juliet”! 🌹 This is my arrangement, played on my Taylor 712ce.

Nature wonderfully contributed to my video with magical snow and a dancing tree!

Leo Brouwer wrote this piece for a moving Cuban film “Un Dia de Noviembre” directed by Humberto Solás (1976). It is the story of a young man named Esteban, who was totally devoted to the cause of the Revolution against Fulgencio Batista. One day, Esteban is diagnosed with a cerebral aneurysm, which causes him to take stock of his life as a revolutionary and to reconsider his relationships to his family – to his mother and brother, particularly – and his friends.

Whenever I felt frustrated or overwhelmed in my teenage years I would listen to Private Investigations with the volume as high as possible. I would listen to the song in a loop, until I felt better.
Another ode to Mark Knopfler. Thank you for your music!

I recorded this for “All souls” Day”. A day to remember all loved ones that are not with us anymore.

I find it quite challenging to express feelings like sadness, frustration, anger and regret on my sweet sounding Taylor, but I tried my best!

I added the lyrics so my feelings might make more sense.

“Nur zu Besuch” is a song by the German band: Die Toten Hosen.

Whenever my heart feels heavy, I like to listen to Mark Knopfler, his soothing voice and the calming sound of his guitar. This instrumental encourages to keep on going, even when times are rough. In this video the sun breaks through several times, and that is exactly what I wanted to give you through this recording! ☀️ It was also the last recording in this setting.

Somewhere between selling our house and buying our next place I finally found some time to record “Here, There and Everywhere” by the Beatles. Based on an arrangement by late Jazz guitarist Charlie Byrd.

First of all, thank you for all the recording suggestions I received from you! And sorry that this was not one you asked for, but I had “Asturias” pending for quite a while. 😇 After “Cavatina” I intended not to play such a hard piece for my hands anymore, but here you go.
Another one pushing my limits. My Bernabe is just too nice to move to a “señorita” guitar. 💕
